SERVICES WE PROVIDE

What Our Tire Change & Storage Service Includes

01

Seasonal Tire Changeover

We perform seasonal tire changes for cars, light trucks, and select commercial vehicles using professional-grade equipment. Each wheel is removed, the hub surface is cleaned of corrosion and debris, and the tires are inspected for tread depth, sidewall condition, and uneven wear. Wheels are torqued with a calibrated wrench to manufacturer specifications, not just an impact gun and a guess. Skipping hub cleaning allows rust buildup between the hub and wheel, which causes vibration at highway speeds and can actually damage your rims over time. Our process prevents that from the start, so your ride stays smooth and your wheels stay protected.

02

Re-torque Policy

After your tire changeover, we ask you to return after approximately 100 km for a complimentary re-torque. Wheel fasteners can settle slightly as components seat themselves under driving load. Re-torquing catches any change before it becomes a safety concern. Many shops skip this step entirely. We consider it non-negotiable because loose lug nuts are one of the most preventable causes of wheel-related incidents on the road.

03

Digitized Barcoded Tire Storage

Storing tires at home means they're exposed to UV light, temperature swings, and moisture, all of which degrade rubber compounds faster. Our on-site storage facility keeps your off-season tires in controlled conditions. Each set is barcoded and logged in a digital tracking system, so when you return for your next seasonal swap, we pull the correct set without any mix-ups. You receive confirmation of what's stored and its condition, giving you full visibility into your tire investment.

04

Tire Sales and Advisory Service

When our technicians notice your tread is approaching the legal minimum or your sidewalls show cracking, we'll let you know honestly and show you what we're seeing. We carry multiple tire brands across different price ranges to suit your vehicle, your driving habits, and your budget. No pressure to buy the most expensive option. We quote before any work begins, and nothing happens without your approval. That honest, advisory approach is how we've built trust with families and fleet operators across Midland, Barrie, Orillia, Penetanguishene, Collingwood, Tay, Georgian Bay Township, Coldwater and surrounding communities for over 70 years.

HOW IT WORKS

How a Seasonal Tire Swap Works at Our Shop

A proper tire changeover is more than pulling wheels off and putting new ones on. Here's what happens when you bring your vehicle to our service centre in Tiny, which serves Midland and the surrounding areas.

1

Vehicle Intake and Tire Retrieval

We scan your barcode if your tires are in our storage system and retrieve the correct set. If you're bringing your own, we log them in.

2

Wheel Removal and Hub Cleaning

Each wheel is removed, and the hub mounting surface is cleaned of rust and corrosion to prevent vibration and uneven seating.

3

Tire Inspection

Tread depth, sidewall condition, and wear patterns are checked. If anything needs attention, we show you and explain your options before proceeding.

4

Mounting and Calibrated Torque

Tires are mounted, and lug nuts are torqued to your vehicle's exact manufacturer specification using a calibrated torque wrench.

5

Off-season Storage and Re-torque Scheduling

Your removed tires are barcoded, logged, and stored on-site. We schedule your re-torque visit for approximately 100 km of driving.

Schedule an appointment today and discuss your requirements with our team.

DECISION SUPPORT

Is Professional Tire Changeover Right for You

Many drivers treat seasonal tire swaps as a simple job. The difference between a quick swap and a proper changeover comes down to what happens to your hubs, your torque values, and your tire storage conditions.

Wheel icon

Improper torque and skipped hub cleaning are the most common causes of post-swap vibration and premature wheel damage.

Speedometer icon

A re-torque after 100 km catches fastener settling that even a perfect initial torque cannot prevent.

Warehouse icon

Home tire storage exposes rubber to UV, temperature extremes, and moisture, which shortens tire life by seasons.

Wheel icon

Coordinating your tire swap with a wheel alignment or safety inspection saves you a second trip and catches issues early.

When Appropriate

  • You want hub cleaning and calibrated torque applied to manufacturer specifications, not just an impact gun in a driveway.

  • You'd rather store tires in a controlled facility with barcoded tracking than stack them in a garage exposed to heat and moisture.

  • You value a re-torque check after 100 km to confirm your wheels are seated safely under real driving conditions.

If protecting your wheels, extending tire life, and confirming safety after every swap matters to you, professional changeover with storage is the clear choice.

When Not Appropriate

  • You have professional-grade equipment at home, including a calibrated torque wrench, and are confident in performing hub cleaning and torque procedures yourself.

  • You only need tires mounted on rims you already have and don't require storage or inspection services.
